所谓医疗物资管理就是通过医用材料申请计划、采购、仓储、保管、领用等活动，解决医院内医疗物资供需之间存在的时间、空间、数量、品种、规格以及价格和质量等方面的矛盾，衔接好医疗应用中的各个环节，确保医院物资管理和个科室工作的顺利进行。医疗物资管理是大中型医院管理信息化不可缺少的一部分，医疗物资已成为医院很重要的一个管理对象，医疗物资的流通是否合理、是否畅通，对医院的运营活动有着直接影响，医疗物资管理水平低直接影响着医院的成本，此外，物资资金直接相关，直接关系着医院的成本，一方面，采购价格决定着医疗用原材料成本、采购成本的高低，另一方面，仓储、库房管理，可是领用管理直接影响着医院的运营成本。

在财务方面，本系统提供客户端供医院财务使用，确保了医院财务对医疗物资的财务管理，另外通过权限设置，财务也可以对物资的采购，出库及医院内个科室的申请领用情况做全面的监督。

本文探讨了以power builder 8 语言为开发工具、SQL Server2000为基本的数据库管理工具开发医疗物资管理系统的项目可行性，并给出了系统的详细的设计方案。在整个系统的分析设计中，后台数据库的基础数据维护和管理是核心部分。同时系统还提供了强大的数据查询、报表打印和权限管理功能。
